Prescription Validity/Origin Code verification
This policy establishes a procedure for verifying validity of the new prescriptions and assigning a correct Origin Code to every new prescription.
It contains a Prescriber Inquiry Form for prescription verification or corrections.
This policy is often required by PBMs for pharmacies placed on a corrective action plan due to prescription errors and incorrect origin codes.
How does it work:
