Product Tracing; Treatment of Suspect Product; DSCSA Compliance Policy
The policy describes requirements under the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) and establishes a procedure for pharmacy staff to purchase, verify legitimacy, and quarantine products.
It describes red flags in the product packaging to spot potential illegitimate products, how to dispose such products, investigative procedures, and FDA notification.
The policy has changes necessary for compliance with the last stage of DSCSA implementation (effective Nov. 27, 2023).
